The International Day of Yoga was celebrated to bring happiness with great zeal and enthusiasm on 21 June 2018 under the guidance of the yoga instructor, Ms. Vasavi. Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be carried every day. The students of grade 1 to 10 were taught different yogasanas like vrikshasanas, uttaanasanas, trikonasana, bhadrasana, shashaankasana, and bhujangasana. It was followed by a brief explanation about the asanas and its benefits through postures and charts. Finally, the session ended with pranayaama and meditation by giving a note to the students that “Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is about what you learn on the way down”.
