About the EventTJIS welcomed the year’s events with the investiture ceremony where in the elected student members officially took charge of the duties and responsibilities. As a first step interested students were called to contest in the election. Norms of the election were briefed to them.
Secondly campaign went on with the approved symbols and slogans for 4 days. Election date was fixed on 10 June 2019 which took place fairly with the overall involvement of the social department, fundamental faculties and sports department in the auditorium.
Counting of the votes was carried out in principal’s chamber on 12 June 2019. The results were announced in the morning assembly by the principal. Finally the investiture ceremony went on grandly and successfully on 18 June 2019.
The School band troop proposed the guard of honour and the school and the school principal Ms. Annapurna H N along with elected school council members marched to the venue. The ceremony began with shloka reciting from Bhagavat Gita related to leadership qualities. The program began with welcome speech by Ms. Rajamani inviting the parents, the Staff and students.
The lighting of the lamp was carried out by the little ones of the school who will hold the responsibilities in the coming years and an opportunity to learn from elected leaders of the school. The principal Mrs. Annapurna H N narrated spiritual story highlighting the bondage between a teacher and the students who exhibits his reverence for his teachers call at all times.The three aspects of leadership was also highlighted that is the leader, the followers and the destination to reach with the clear concise, knowledge for the welfare of all students, the community and the school at large.
The elected student council members took the oath by signing the document acknowledging the responsibilities they shoulder for the year 2019-20 followed by pinning of the badges and sashes. The programme was concluded with thanks giving and National Anthem.
